We publish one of these regularly, including the parts that did not go to plan.<\/p>\n<h2>New this month<\/h2>\n<h3>Faster search<\/h3>\n<p>Search now returns results substantially quicker on large result sets, and filters apply without reloading the page. This was the most requested change by some distance.<\/p>\n<h3>Better pages on phones<\/h3>\n<p>Pages have been reworked for narrow screens: bigger tap targets, fewer things hidden behind menus, and images that no longer push the layout sideways. <strong>Most people arrive on a phone<\/strong>, and that should have been true sooner than it was.<\/p>\n<h3>Clearer notifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Related notifications are grouped rather than arriving one by one.<\/li>\n<li>You can turn off each type separately instead of all or nothing.<\/li>\n<li>The email version now matches what you see on the site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Fixed<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Saved items occasionally not appearing on a second device.<\/li>\n<li>A rare case where a draft could be lost by navigating away mid-edit.<\/li>\n<li>Several smaller layout problems in right-to-left languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Coming next<\/h2>\n<p>Work in progress, in rough order:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Bulk editing, so several pages can be updated at once.<\/li>\n<li>A clearer stats view, with a longer history.<\/li>\n<li>More export options, so your data is genuinely yours to take.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>What we decided not to do<\/h2>\n<p>We looked seriously at automatic translation of user-written content and decided against it for now. The quality was not good enough to publish under someone else\u2019s name without their say-so, and getting that consent right is a bigger piece of work than the translation itself.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We would rather ship a smaller change that works than a larger one that needs explaining.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><u>Have something you would like to see?<\/u> Tell us.
